And, place bids on silent auction heart inspired art pieces by local fine artists and local food gift baskets. Best of all, 100% of proceeds will go to the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County, top supporters of arts education programs in our schools and for our community.

Welcome to Mariposa’s Art!

“I like Mariposa’s Art because it’s a place where I can express my feelings and also make my dreams of being an artist come alive.”         -Angelina, age 11

We’re thrilled to announce that Mariposa’s Art is featured as one of four youth-focused programs in the the 2011 Good Times Community Fund!

Mariposa’s Art programs provide after-school art and music programs where youth learn to express themselves, creatively problem-solve, make healthy choices, and positively affect their communities.

Through Mariposa’s Art, a program of the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County, high school students become leaders, mentors and role models by co-teaching with professional artists in schools lacking funds to support the arts during the regular school day. Founded in 1998, Mariposa’s Art will serve more than 2,000 students this year .
